UC Irvine astronomers discover a new Earth-like exoplanet

The new planet is about twice the size of Earth. The planet’s atmosphere may be the right thickness for life to survive on the planet’s surface. The study helps reveal how Earth-like planets close to our solar system may be more common than thought.
